That's What HE Said Thursday #44

That's What HE Said is a weekly meme hosted by the wonderful ladies at Chapter Break. It's a chance for us to spotlight and gush over a quote from our current book crush to the object of his desire. We like to pretend it's us ;)

What better way to celebrate our book boyfriends?

A few weeks back, I shared quotes from Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. (Click here to see them.) This week, I've picked two of my favourites from the follow-up to that, Losing Hope. Be warned: they can induce swoons of immense magnitude so you may need some alone time to recover ;)  ~ Bel

"Let me inform you of something, " I say, lowering my voice. "The moment my lips touch yours, it will be your first kiss. Because if you've never felt anything when someone's kissed you, then no one's ever really kissed you. Not the way I plan on kissing you."

"Talking?" she says, her top lip curling up in a grin. "Holder, I'm reading. There's a difference. And from the looks if it, you haven't been paying a lick of attention."

The feistiness in her reply makes me smile. "Oh, I've been paying attention, " I say, lifting onto my elbows. "To your mouth. Maybe not to the words coming out of it, but definitely your mouth."

I recently went on a Colleen Hoover binge and read Hopeless and Losing Hope in one glorious weekend. Both books were phenomenal and not at all what I'd expected. Let's just say that I was on a high after reading them and didn't want to come back down. Here are two from Hopeless that had me smiling. ~ Bel

"Not that I wouldn't hit on you, " he adds with a grin. "I just wasn't doing it at that particular moment."

"I'm bored, " he says.
"So go home."
"I don't want to. What do you do when you're bored? You don't have internet or TV. Do you just sit around all day and think about how hot I am?"
