Amazon ** Barnes and Noble ** BAM ** iBooks ** IndieBound ** Kobo ** Walmart

WHITE HOT KISS synopsis: One kiss could be the last. Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses. Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever. Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul. But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne…it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.
Stone Cold Touch - New Cover

Amazon ** Barnes and Noble ** iBooks ** IndieBound ** Kobo ** BAM

STONE COLD TOUCH Synopsis: Every touch has its price Layla Shaw is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life—no easy task for a seventeen-year-old who’s pretty sure things can’t get worse. Her impossibly gorgeous best friend, Zayne, is forever off-limits thanks to the mysterious powers of her soul-stealing kiss. The Warden clan that has always protected her is suddenly keeping dangerous secrets. And she can barely think about Roth, the wickedly hot demon prince who understood her in ways no one else could. But sometimes rock bottom is only the beginning. Because suddenly Layla’s powers begin to evolve, and she’s offered a tantalizing taste of what has always been forbidden. Then, when she least expects it, Roth returns, bringing news that could change her world forever. She’s finally getting what she always wanted, but with hell literally breaking loose and the body count adding up, the price may be higher than Layla is willing to pay… "Constantly entertaining...the narrative sizzles with as much tension as romance." —Kirkus Reviews on White Hot Kiss

And the Prequel Novella, BITTER SWEET LOVE...

Bitter Sweet Love - New Cover

Amazon ** Barnes and Noble ** iBooks ** BAM ** Kobo

BITTER SWEET LOVE Synopsis: In a sizzling prequel novella to her new series The Dark Elements, #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout draws readers into the extraordinary, irresistible world of Wardens and demons. Dez wasn't just Jasmine's crush. A gargoyle Warden like Jas, he helped her come to terms with her destiny—fending off demons and maintaining the balance between good and evil. He was her everything…right until the moment he disappeared without a trace. It didn't help that Jas's father had just announced that she and Dez would one day be mated. Hard not to take that personally. And now he's back, three years older, ten times hotter, ready to pick up exactly where they left off. But Jas isn't taking that risk again. Dez has seven days to meet all her conditions and earn back her trust. Seven days filled with terrifying danger and sweet temptation. Seven days to win her heart—or shatter it all over again… "With her signature flare for combining humor, romance and action, Armentrout weaves a fast-paced read that will have readers' hearts racing in more ways than one. Like Armentrout's previous heroines, Jasmine is fun and full of attitude, while Dez is as snarky as he is sexy. This is a must read for new and old fans alike!" -RT Book Reviews

Shel's Top 10 of 2014

Well, with Nat & Bel already having posted their top 10's, I guess it's my turn.  I had a horrible time choosing (as I always do).  This year was especially difficult and I cheated just a little, by including to Jennifer L. Armentrout books, but I just couldn't decide which I liked more.  One book that didn't make the list, because it wasn't my top 12 list, but I loved equally with those on the list, is Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White.  It was great and you should all read it.  But enough about that, here are my Top 10 choices (in no particular order):

All Lined Up by Cora Carmack

It's been billed as Friday Night Lights as a New Adult book.  For me, I just loved Carson.  He has one of my favorite lines when discussing her father, he tells Dallas "Sometimes it's hard to see past our own broken pieces."

Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost

This really should be the entire Cat & Bones series.  It became a favorite of both Nat & I this year and we love it!  Nat promised me a "Bones' chew toy" t-shirt for Christmas...

I Want It That Way by Ann Aguirre

I can't think Harlequin enough for sending this ARC, I LOVE this series!  I Want It That Way is definitely my favorite, but the entire 2B series is great.

The Bride Wore Size 12 by Meg Cabot

The long anticipated Heather Wells book!!!  I loved rejoining Heather and crew for more campus capers and I really hope there are more in the works!

The Bet by Rachel Van Dyken

Oh my god, you guys have to read this book!  I loved it so much!  The Wager is equally fantastic, but I went with The Bet because it was first in my heart.  Seriously, we should all be so lucky as to have such a fabulous grandmother!

Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham

I admit, I didn't read this one.  I listened to the phenomenal Kristen Bell narrate the audio book and it was just like watching Veronica Mars with the voice overs.

Boomerang by Noelle August

Boomerang is a refreshing bright and optimistic New Adult.  So many NA books are about seriously hurt or broken people, but Boomerang is about two, somewhat, normal people finding love.  I'm super excited for Rebound.

Wild by Sophie Jordan

The Ivy Chronicles are for anyone who loves great romance writing, because Sophie Jordan is a master.  I enjoyed all three books in the series, but Wild was my favorite.

Biting Bad by Chloe Neill
Vampires roaming Chicago with swords.  Enough said.

White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I admit, I'm cheating.  I could not choose between these two.  Layla's struggles and Roth's hotness make White Hot Kiss a must read.  On the other hand, the haunting story and edge of your seat suspense of Don't Look Back makes that a must read as well.  Either way you win, really.  :-)

I hope we've given you a couple of ideas for your ever-growing TBR piles.  We here at BiblioJunkies wish you all the best for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2015.

Gratitude Giveaway Hop 2014!

Gobble, gobble!  It's the time of year for us to give thanks for all that we have.  Here at BiblioJunkies HQ, Nat, Bel and I are forever grateful to all those who read our non-sense, participate in our hi-jinx and just generally give us a reason to keep on blogging.  We LOVE our blog.  It's our escape from our stressful and hectic lives, so the fact that we have followers never ceases to amuse and amaze us.  We haven't made following on GFC a requirement, but we are a mere 15 followers short of 1,000.  If you help us reach 1,000 by the end of this hop, we will give away a HUGE box of books for the New Year!

So, to say thanks, each of us has picked one of our many favorite reads this year to give away.  We've decided to go with a YA theme, so we hope you enjoy!  One winner will win the three books listed below.  Thanks to Kathy at I Am A Reader, Not A Writer for hosting!  Don't forget to check out the other stops on the Hop and good luck!

Thank you all so much!

That's What HE Said Thursday #3

That's What He Said is a weekly meme hosted by the ladies at Chapter Break, where we spotlight a quote from our book crush to the object of his desire. We like to pretend it's us.

What better way to celebrate our book boyfriends?

This week, it's Shel's turn and she has chosen a quote from White Hot Kiss. Shel loves her Roth. She puffy hearts him so much that she even insisted that Nat and Bel vote for Roth in the final Dark Elements book. If this doesn't happen, she'll be a wreck.

White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout

*****

From Harlequin Teen:

One kiss could be the last
Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal.
White Hot Kiss is a scorching paranormal YA that will keep you up all night!  Layla and Roth are phenomenal.  Poor Layla doesn't fit anywhere, being half Warden and half Demon.  No one can get close, because her ability is to suck out a person's soul.  Luckily, Roth is a demon, so no soul, which means Layla can get as close as she wants, and she definitely wants.  Roth is by far my favorite JLA boy (sorry Daemon, I still love you too!).  He's sarcastic, seriously hot and a completely lovable bad boy.

Zayne on the other hand is supposed to be the whitehat Warden.  He clearly cares for Layla, but is so bogged down by the expectations of his family, he can't admit it.  I like Zayne, I just don't think he and Layla fit.  Her crush on Zayne was a product of her loneliness as a child.  Her burgeoning relationship with Roth, while admittedly borne of circumstance, is certainly not because Roth is the only person to treat her with any kindness.  In fact, he's kind of a jerk a lot of the time, but he challenges her, forces her to think about her preconceptions and makes her a better person.

I've probably read WHK four or five times.  It's action packed, emotional and completely awesome!  I'm dying for Stone Cold Touch, the next in the series.   White Hot Kiss in a nutshell = hot demon boys, hot gargoyle boy, awkward and hilarious bffs and a seriously fantastic story.
